Rosanne Giambalvo is a Senior Director at Ankura Consulting Group based in New York, NY. She has over 20 years of professional experience, including three years in international trade compliance and over 15 years in financial services. Ms. Giambalvo works with her clients to operationalize trade compliance through the development of international trade compliance policies and procedures, system and process enhancements, and training. In addition, Ms. Giambalvo investigates potential violations of U.S. trade compliance laws and regulations. As a specialist and investigator at a leading aerospace and defense company, Ms. Giambalvo led numerous trade compliance investigations and developed export compliance enhancements and training designed to reduce compliance risk.
Most recently Ms. Giambalvo worked with aerospace defense companies investigating export control violations and disclosing such violations to the Departments of State and Commerce. Prior to joining Ankura, Ms. Giambalvo was an Executive Director at Oppenheimer and Co., Inc. As an equity sales trader, Ms. Giambalvo represented institutional clients in the equity marketplace by serving as a conduit between clients and equity traders. Ms. Giambalvo routinely advised her mutual fund and hedge fund clients on trading strategy, technical analysis and market fluctuations to obtain the best and most effective execution for their orders.

Internal Investigations – Investigated and disclosed to relevant government agencies export violations at a major international aerospace and defense corporation; implemented remedial measures to address identified issues.
Compliance Plan Development – Worked with clients to operationalize trade compliance program, including creating and implementing new trade compliance policies and procedures; developing and delivering export compliance training. Developed modular, process based compliance tools and procedures designed to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce risk of compliance escapes.

- Provided market and trading analytics using risk managed trading strategies to clients and managed relationships with existing and potential hedge fund, quantitative fund and mutual fund clients.

Ms. Giambalvo received her Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School where she served as a member on the Journal of International and Comparative Law. Ms. Giambalvo obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston College. Ms. Giambalvo is a member of the New York State bar.
