Seminar Policies

Program Format

Participants receive training materials that contain annotated copies of the slides used by the instructors. Case studies are included. Questions are welcomed throughout the presentations. Instructors will be available before and after the presentations to discuss specific questions or issues. A certificate is issued to each attendee upon completion of the seminar.

Dress Code

Dress code is business casual.

Special Dietary Requests

A light breakfast, beverages, snacks and a lunch will be served each day. Special dietary requests can be accommodated. Please send your requests to no later than 3 weeks before the seminar.

CLE Credits

Our seminars are approved for CLE credits in several states. Details can be found here.

Cancellation Policy

A cancellation fee of $100 will be charged if the cancellation is made up to 15 days prior to the seminar. No refunds will be provided after this date, but a credit voucher can be issued for 80% of the paid tuition which can be used at any Export Compliance Training Institute seminar within a 12 month period.

Force Majeure

ECTI will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its training obligations arising out of or caused, directly or indirectly, by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts of God; earthquakes; fires; floods; wars; civil or military disturbances; acts of terrorism; sabotage; strikes; pandemics; epidemics; local, regional, or global health alerts; riots; power failures; computer failure and any such circumstances.  Should any of the aforementioned situations necessitate cancellation of a live seminar event, ECTI reserves the right to deliver the training content via a digital format which could include webinar, e-Seminar or other virtual training at ECTI’s sole discretion.

Invoice Registrations

If you register for a seminar with the “REQUEST INVOICE” option, you agree that you are responsible for paying the full seminar tuition invoiced unless you cancel by notifying ECTI in writing at least 20 days prior to the seminar start date, even if you are unable to attend the seminar.  Invoice terms are NET 30 and prior to seminar attendance unless special payment arrangements are made with ECTI.

Seminar Materials

Seminar manuals, e-Manuals and other promotional materials are the copyrighted intellectual property of the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI, Inc.) and are for the sole use of the seminar participant to whom they are provided.  Any duplication, replication or distribution of any part of these materials is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of ECTI, Inc.

Seminar Transfer Policy

Transfers to another equivalent seminar are allowed with no penalty up to 10 days prior to the seminar. Transfers are allowed after that date, but a transfer fee of 20% of paid tuition will apply.

Hotel Accommodation

The cost of accommodation is not included in the tuition.
To book the hotel, please see instructions on seminar location web page or contact us. Hotel rooms are available on a first-come/first-served basis and ECTI can accept no responsibility for participant guest room availability.

Contact List

Each registrant will be added to a contact list distributed to all attendees of the event.  Details will include name, organization, telephone and email address.  If you wish to NOT be included and to NOT get the list, please email or call +1 540 433 3977 and request to be excluded.
