The purpose of this webinar is to train non-import professionals to spot potential import issues before the problems occur. Even if import compliance is not your job, import rules and regulations can have a significant impact on you. You do not need to be an expert on imports, but a little bit of practical knowledge may go a long way in making your life easier and increasing the success of your company. In today’s ever-evolving and fast paced international business environment, the import specialist is now involved in many activities that involve critical import compliance issues, which makes it difficult to address import issues before they occur.

Too often companies spend the majority of their trade compliance resources on export issues. Many companies focus on import compliance and the import process only when they get a notice from Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) or when CBP conducts a Focused Assessment (audit). A basic understanding of import compliance will assist you and others in your company to better understand how import decisions affect supply chain, contracts, manufacturing, cost, and almost every aspect of your business.

This webinar will include PowerPoint slides and live video and commentary from Marc Binder. Marc has been active in the International Logistics, Export and Import fields for the past 35 years. Each registrant, even if unable to attend, will receive a copy of the presentation, certificate of completion, speaker contact information for follow-up questions, and access to the webinar recording a few days after the webinar airs. Webinar participants are invited to submit questions during the webinar and the final 30 minutes will be allotted to answering attendee questions.
