ECTI ECoPĀ® Accreditation Renewal

ECTI’s ECoP® accreditation is valid for two years following your last day of training for a live or e-Seminar. Renewal is necessary before your accreditation expires. The following credits are required to keep your accreditation(s) valid:

ECTI Accredited Export Compliance Professional-EAR® 4 EAR Renewal Credits

ECTI Accredited Export Compliance Professional-ITAR® 4 ITAR Renewal Credits

Please read the following guidelines carefully to ensure that your ECoP® accreditation renews properly. There are two ways to renew either an ECTI ECoP-EAR® or an ECTI ECoP-ITAR® accreditation.

1st Renewal Option: No Testing Required

Accreditation is renewed based on the completion of 4 credits per corresponding EAR or ITAR Accreditation (8 credits required to renew both). The simplest way to renew your accreditation is to register for the relevant ECTI credited course(s) before your accreditation(s) expiration date. By doing so, your accreditation(s) will automatically renew. You are NOT required to pay an additional fee or retest. You must submit an ECoP® Accreditation Renewal Form to ECTI once you have attended the training course(s). Your accreditation will be valid for an additional two years and you will receive an updated certificate. As an ECoP® renewal attendee you qualify for a 20% discount off of any ECTI course, note ECOP20 in the promo code box on the seminar/e-Seminar/webinar registration form. This discount cannot be combined with any other available discounts.

The following training options are approved and have designated values and do not require retesting (ECTI training courses):

You can also renew your accreditation by attending a pre-approved, relevant Bureau of Industry and Security, United States Department of Commerce (BIS) course or a pre-approved, relevant Society of International Affairs (SIA) course. Following your attendance to either of these pre-approved courses, which are listed below, you are required to do all of the following:

  1. Submit an ECoP® Accreditation Renewal Form to ECTI once you have attended your training. Provide supporting documentation of your attendance to one of the following training courses. (Please note that if you attend a non-ECTI course and it is not pre-approved, it may not meet the required qualifications for renewal.)
  2. Pay a testing fee of $100
  3. Pass the current relevant ECoP® test with an 85% or greater (we offer two attempts to reach the pass rate)
